About the event

A few months ago, on one of my many walks , I was led down an unexpected line of thought; wanting to understand who I am and where I came from culturally . That led me down a whole rabbit hole , digging through histories , learning unsettling truths and connecting to my roots and from that an art project was born, a life project more like (Lost Artisans). It is so unbelievable that a simple creative thought led me to a series of work that in turn later led to a solo show, a workshop and now an art residency. “Lost Artisans” led me to look at indigenous craftsmen and women whose works and stories were intentionally and deliberately erased by time, colonial violence and cultural injustices, it then led to “The body as an archive of remembrance “ that looks at the effects of trauma , colonial violence…
