About Rahmi Creations
My Mission
“I create narrative-driven African contemporary art that explores identity, migration, and ancestral memory through impressionistic figuration and bold colors.”

My History
I grew up surrounded by movement — movement of people, cultures, languages, and histories. As someone shaped by migration and multiple identities, I developed an early sensitivity to the stories that get overlooked or left behind.
Art became the place where I could rebuild what was lost.
My practice sits at the intersection of memory and identity. I work with layered paint, mixed media, text, and symbolic imagery to question what happens when a story crosses borders — how it transforms, what it sheds, and what it carries.
Themes of displacement, ancestral memory, and invisibility run through my work. Whether I’m painting pigeons as metaphors for immigrant bodies, or reconstructing the forgotten artisans of Eastern Congo, I am always searching for the thread that connects us across time and place.
This is not just art — it is an act of remembering.
Every piece is an attempt to bring visibility back to people and histories that deserve to be seen.
